The AV Wall’s Final Farewell
The AV Wall Board and Point Man Antelope Valley, guardians of this beloved memorial, have partnered with the City of Palmdale to present one last, unforgettable display of the AV Wall — a half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
For one powerful, poignant week, the community will have the opportunity to stand before it, reflect on the names etched in stone and pay tribute to those who served.
After 16 years of inspiring remembrance throughout the Antelope Valley and beyond, the AV Wall will be officially retired on November 12, 16 years after its debut.
Open 24 hours a day from 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8 through 8 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12.

About the AV Wall
The story of the AV Wall began in 2005 with a simple but profound inquiry during preparations for the Palmdale Playhouse’s 10th anniversary production of "A Piece of My Heart" — a play honoring the women who served in Vietnam.
From that moment, a vision took root. The AV Wall has since brought people together from all walks of life, living out its guiding truth:
Most walls keep people out. This wall brings people together.
